CIRÉPIL A WAXING PIONEER
1936 : Founded by Messieurs Perron & Rigot In France
It all started in the summer of 1936, with the creation of a sun oil and a hair-removal wax by a pharmacist and a salesman, Mr Perron and Mr Rigot, just when the first annual leave became available in France. THE PERRON RIGOT BRAND WAS FOUNDED!
A few years later, the company was taken over by a former perfumer from Jean Patou: Mr. Des Garets, who was a chemical engineer. Fascinated by hair removal treatments, he launched a series of different patents and invented the new generation of stripless waxes.
Perron Rigot then became an expert brand with an international reputation in the field of hair removal, especially in France and the USA. At that time, the brand’s star products were known as Cirépil.

1972 : First Patent for Low Temperature Waxes
1st patent for low temperature recyclable waxes.
Mr. des Garets, a perfumer by trade from Jean Patou, took over the company with the conviction that it was time to revolutionize the depilatory wax offer and to become a genuine skin care product and In 1975.
He inaugurated the first manufacturing site in Thoré-La-Rochette, in the Loir-et-Cher region in France.
1980 : The company invented the first non-strip hard waxes & Launch of patented Original Blue beads wax in US

2004 : Cirépil meet Thalgo Group
Perron Rigot was acquired by the Thalgo Cosmetic group. This group is already well established in the world of beauty and cosmetics.
This union of two industry leaders brought together Thalgo's expertise in marine-based skincare solutions and Cirepil's innovative waxing technology, creating a powerful synergy that continues to shape the industry to this day.
2017 : New PATENT non-strip Wax Cashmere
Cirepil unveiled a new innovation in 2017 : a cutting-edge, patent-protected non-strip wax with Cashmere Wax.

2018 : New PATENT non-strip Wax Boudoir
Cirepil once again asserted its position as an industry innovator with the introduction of their latest patent-protected non-strip wax: Boudoir.

2021 : Launch of an Organic Wax
